Far infrared light (FIR) uses longer wavelengths, which penetrate deeper into the body, reaching up to 1.5 inches below the skin's surface. This deeper penetration provides a heating effect that works on muscles, joints, and even internal organs, leading to a full-body detox.
FIR saunas heat the body more slowly than near infrared saunas, as it heats from the inside out at a cellular level. It has more of a feeling of sweating in a dry heat climate as opposed to a stuffy humid climate, if that makes more sense.
